FEDERER-BUDCOLLINSHISTORYOFTENNIS

Following his epic Wimbledon final victory over Andy Roddick, Roger Federer said he knew exactly how many aces he needed to also add his name in the tennis record books for serving the most aces in the match at Wimbledon. Federer is a student of tennis history as this photo showcases from the Sony Ericsson Open when he was presented with THE BUD COLLINS HISTORY OF TENNIS book. For the record, Federer’s 50 aces against Roddick was one shy of the Wimbledon main draw record set by Ivo Karlovic in 2005. The all-time record for all tournaments is 59 set by Ed Kauder in 1955.
