Earlier this year I wrote a post that confirmed the myth of Eastern European women. In that post I wrote that every Eastern European woman is actually goodlooking is not a myth; It’s a reality.I really actually tried to crack the myth Mythbusters style.
And I showed photos of Victoria Azarenka and Anna Chakvetadze and Dominika Cibulkova. Photos of FHM. I was brutally corrected by Tom that it was the photoshoot for FHM and not Smash Magazine.
To further confirm this myth, Maxim magazine comes with a photoshoot of the poster girl of the myth; Anna Kournikova. Anna Kournikova was once the most downloaded woman in the world. Whenever you watched Wimbledon coverage on TV and they showed an Anna Kournikova match; The stadium was sold out whether she played on Centre Court or Court 20! And it wasn’t just the boys she attracted, having been a longstanding member of the official Kournikova website forum I can confirm that lots of girls were into her as well.
Anna features on the cover of Maxim magazine for the fifth time already. And what’s great about this part is that it has got 3D photos of Anna Kournikova. That’s almost as if she’s standing live in my room eh?
In the interview with Maxim, Anna talks about her dual citizenship having become an American recently:
“You know, I’ve always considered myself half Russian and half American. It never seemed to really matter if I had a passport or not. But when I started working with the USO and the troops overseas, it just seemed the logical next step…”
On her lovelife she said the following:
“Single as in on paper? ‘Yes, but I’m in a relationship.”

Wow!!! where is all this hate for Anna coming from!! I liked Kournikova a lot back in the day, especially because she made a fabulous doubles team with my favorite player Martina Hingis. I think she was the first player to take advantage of her looks, she was criticized a lot for it but in some way you could say that she opened the path to Sharapova, Ivanovic, etc in that camp.
I saw her play live a month a go on a exhibition match en Bogotá, Colombia, and not only did she look absolutely fabulous, her game was great and I was able to see why she was such a good doubles player. Besides she totally won the crowd over with her charm.

First of all I am a guy. At least the last time I checked. And second of all I agree with Johana here and having Grand Slams under her belt for winning doubles is quite the achievement. I dont think 90% of the players on the WTA Tour can say that.
Anna is beautiful and capitalizes on that. There is nothing wrong with that at all.
Ana and Maria do the exact same thing. And to be honest with you: Do you still see Ana someplace in the top 10? I don’t see her there. And what about the free fall she made AFTER she won the Roland Garros tournament? Now I like Ana a lot but to call her an example after losing motivation after winning the first and only GS she’s won, I dont call that a very good example.
And where is Sharapova? Still working on her come back? I am not sure if she’ll ever come back. She seems to be busy with boyfriend and endorsements too. Pretty much like Anna does.
Anna doesn’t call herself a sex symbol, others do. She’s isnt full of herself at all.

Stephane is a guy’s name in Canada and France. It’s common there. And I have never uploaded a photo of myself to this website ever. So it’s out of the question that U have seen me. I have no kids of my own so I cant exactly relate to what you are saying about being a good example.
I do know that companies in the past and present have signed Anna Kournikova for her ‘good girl’ image.
